Reflections on Plastic

Spending an afternoon on a beautiful beach in Greece last week confirmed me what i already knew....we are polluting nature with our plastics plague. Knowing it or personally experiencing it are two different things....In front of me: a marvelous landscape, just walking a little bit further to the right: a mess of packaging material trash in the Mediterranean water and between the trees. First i wanted to walk back and look for another spot, but i realized that now i knew it, another spot in the same area could not change my feeling....and in fact i would not like to forget, it would feel fake. So....i stayed there, spending 6 hours of my silence retreat there. Watching the sea, serenely and patiently rocking the mess back and forth. And realized that unawareness, either by ignorance or neglect are again two different stories.
