Science Outside The Box - Volume III
LUCID DREAMING AND CONSCIOUSNESS:
THEORY AND PRACTICE
Sint-Jacobskapel, Nijmegen, 16 March 2018, 19.30 - 21.00 h

In this third edition, you will hear two fascinating stories about the nature of consciousness during (lucid) dreaming. Neuroscientist Dr. Martin Dresler of the Donders Institute will provide you with scientific data on how consciousness changes when we fall asleep and start dreaming. Emmy van Swaaij, professional sign language interpreter, will share her personal lucid dream experiences and how this led to start her research on the life of Oskar Baum, a friend of Franz Kafka.

Lih Lah Yoga and Radboud Postdoc Initiative organize “Science outside the box” meetings with the aim to inspire to think outside the box. We hope this will provide an entertaining evening and stimulating platform where scientists and non-scientists can reflect and connect with others and talk openly about unconventional topics. This may lead to new collaborations and initiatives that are close to their heart and dreams.
